Venkat Ambati
President

Om Namo Bhagavathe Vasudevaya

Namaste.

Serving our temples and community is a true blessing. Since moving to Austin with my wife, Supriya, in 2014, I've had the honor of being among the founding trustees of our cherished temples.

As EC President, my purpose is to unify our community, volunteers, trustees, and priests, nurturing our temples as centers of spiritual growth and divine connection. I am dedicated to fostering collaboration and harmony among all, driving sustainable growth and deepening our collective bond with God.

With nearly two decades of leadership experience across Google, Amazon, and startups, I’ve focused on building teams grounded in trust and transparency. Beyond work, I’ve helped grow Austin’s cricket community from one team to over forty and represented the USA Masters Over-40 team internationally.

My wife and I live in Cedar Park with our two daughters and have been part of the temple community since 2014. With over a decade of engineering leadership experience, I value structure, teamwork, and clear communication — qualities I strive to bring into temple service.

During my tenure as EC & Interim Board Secretary, I helped draft the Bylaw Charter, strengthen transparency through timely meeting minutes, and oversee completion of the outdoor pavilion before Brahmotsavam.

As Education Chair, I supported Bala Vikas growth from 200 to over 450 students and honored teachers for their service. With deep knowledge of pujas, yagnas, and Vedic rituals, my focus is to preserve tradition, strengthen priest relations, and foster unity through disciplined and authentic service.
